ABOUT US
Techlectric was founded in 1992 by Brad Handel, the current President and majority shareholder of Techlectric, with no employees or additional financial backing. Since then it has grown to the success that it is today. Derek Bay is the Vice President and looks after operations.
Techlectric has been built on service, excellent pricing and superior quality workmanship. This continues to be the primary focus of the business today, coupled with the broad company diversity and multiple certifications that continue to drive the growth of the company.
Techlectric President Brad Handel firmly believes in continuing the education of his employees and attends most training and certification events alongside employees. Safety is another key part of day-to-day operations at Techlectric, along with diligently upholding a strict code of ethics.
Brad sat on the Executive for the Southern Interior Construction Association. He passionately believes in donating his time to nonprofit organizations for the betterment of everyone in the construction industry.
2012 marked the end of an era shutting down both branches in BC with Brad deciding to return to his roots on the family farm where he was born and raised in Lloydminster Alberta. A few projects were awarded to Techlectric the fall of 2012 and many more in the spring with the final relocation of Techlectric being completed in the spring of 2013. The move has been a very succesful one and for brad personally it has been an amazing experience re connecting after all these years with family, friends and neighbors.
Brad has ambitious plans to develop the family farm and will bring his many years of development experience and knowledge with new strategies and ideas not experienced in the Lloydminster region before. stay tuned for the revival of Tech Smart Developments Ltd as brad moves forward with his stakeholders.

Organizations
Techlectric holds membership in many construction and business-related associations. Brad Handel was a founding father of the Shuswap Construction Industry Professionals (SCIP) and served several terms as President. Brad also sat on the SICA board for 8 years and was Chairman for one year. Brad is also a Canadian Construction Association Gold Seal Intern (GSI) and is working hard at achieving Gold Seal Certification.
Brad was also recently involved in helping to form the Shuswap Pro Development Association and sat on the OCP review committee for the City of Salmon Arm representing the associations of which he was a member.
Brad enjoys giving back to the communities and organizations that support Techlectric and will tell you getting involved has played a substantial role in not only his personal growth, but also that of the business.
